We are thrilled to offer two internship opportunities for summer 2012. Interns will be assisting at up to 4 weddings and getting a hands on look at what it takes to work in this industry. Think you have what it takes? We’ll be accepting resumes and conducting interviews throughout May! To apply, please send a cover letter and resume to Brittany (at) bbjeanevents (dot) com!
I can’t believe I didn’t post the rest of these photos!! Actually, I take that back. I can. Because three days after this shoot, I was in labor and then when the rest of the photos were finished by Kaylee and posted for viewing, I was too busy loving on this little snuggle bug and well, can you blame me?! Thankfully, with the bean by my side, I’m slowly but surely getting back into the swing of things and lucky for you I am finally getting around to sharing the amazing photos that Eylander Photography created when we got together last! The girls at Alicia’s Bridal told me last winter about a shipment of new fascinators and accessories they were receiving from Europe and when I heard that I couldn’t resist asking them if we could go to town with them. So glad we did! Our model Katie knew how to strut her stuff in those fine pieces and looks absolutely stunning. A big thanks to Mandi and Jessie of Northwest Hair Design for the fantastic hair and makeup.

Remember this post? Our little bean has finally arrived! Normally we’re all about weddings here, but we couldn’t resist sharing a few details of our Milo, especially when it involves some fun photography. We know a lot of amazing photographers in Washington from this business so when it came to getting some new shots of our baby we had a tough time. Newborn photography isn’t the same as wedding or lifestyle photography: knowing how to work with little ones, safely get them into their sweet little poses and calming them down when they get feisty are just a few of the challenges and we knew we wanted to work with someone who really knew their stuff. Enter Michelle, owner of Michelle Newell Photography. I had the privilege of “meeting” her when I featured a wedding she shot on the Alicia’s Bridal Shoppe blog back when I helped manage their posts and she was our favorite choice because of amazing shots like this, this and this. She just happened to have a casting call for a few newborn models right around my due date and as a result some crazy cute photos of Milo were created and we finally got to work together in person. And for the record, she was just as sweet and fun in person (despite my tired, sleep deprived self). Thanks for capturing our Bean, Michelle! And I definitely hope we get to work together again soon!

I get to work with Alicia’s Bridal and The Formal House on occasion and sometimes we throw together some just-for-fun events. When I heard from the owner Pam about a shipment of headpieces and fascinators arriving at the shop that she ordered from Europe, I knew we would have to do something fun with them! A photoshoot was definitely in order and we brought in the cast of characters we worked with last year at this shoot. After lots of emails, phone calls, schedule rearranging and praying that the little baby I’m expecting would hold off for a few days longer, the lovely talents behind Kaylee Eylander Photography and Northwest Hair Design gathered at Alicia’s to doll up our model Katie and to show off some pretty amazing gowns and accessories. As always, it was a pleasure watching such a great group of professionals do what they do best…and, as always, the end result was glamorous, breathtaking and oh so much fun to watch unfold!
Below is a sneak peak. How gorgeous is Katie?! The best part about working with her, is she so flawlessly gets behind the camera and just screams glamour and girl next door all in one. Love it! Hope you do too! Can’t wait to share more!
